Choose your Australis Plus posts and fittings

• 60 x 50mm two-way posts: 6100mm aluminium post extrusions with 3.2mm walls, made from 6106-T6 alloy.
• 50 x 50mm corner posts: 6100mm 90-degree post extrusions with 2mm walls, also in 6106-T6 alloy.
• Mounting and finishing: match 150 x 150mm base plates to two-way posts and 100 x 100mm base plates to corner posts. Choose profile-specific dress rings for core-drilled posts, or matching domical covers for base-plated installations.
• Post and fitting finishes: Black, Monument, White and Mill options are available across the dedicated range. Check the individual product for its finish options.

Glass infill, slat screening and handrails

Australis Plus posts accept 10mm or 12mm glass with the appropriate glazing rubbers. For 10mm glass, use P40 glazing rubber with yellow captive wedge rubber; for 12mm glass, use P41/22 with yellow captive wedge rubber. Infill and sitting blocks support the glass at the bottom of the post pocket. Confirm the glass specification and component combination before ordering.

For horizontal screening, the system uses 65 x 16.5mm aluminium slats with a centre web, supplied in 6100mm lengths. The slat configuration uses 9mm H spacers for friction-fit assembly and reduced rattling. Check that the required spacers and finishing components are included in your project specification.

Handrail options include 75 x 30mm rectangular and 75 x 30mm oval handrails, both supplied in 5800mm lengths with channel inserts. The system also supports a 50 x 25 x 3mm offset handrail configuration with the corresponding brackets and joiners. Match end caps, wall brackets and connectors to the exact handrail profile.

Are standard Australis fittings interchangeable with Australis Plus?

Some handrails, glazing rubbers and accessories are shared, but post fittings must match the profile. The 60 x 50mm two-way post needs its corresponding top plates, base plate and brackets; 50 x 50mm corner posts use the matching corner components. Check each product's stated compatibility.

Can you cut posts or handrails to size, or install the system?
